June 20th, 2011

Veroot Inc. has joined the AFA (Air Freight Forwarders Association) to enhance awareness of how automating TSA Compliance in the Air Freight Industry can reduce overhead and increase efficiency.

Instead of every forwarder calling every agent for TSA data, Veroot’s system is designed to be a neutral third party system for gathering and sharing this data through secure relationships between the IAC and the agent. Veroot is committed to help AFA members understand how Veroot’s service will lower office personnel requirements and get people focused on revenue generating tasks. Veroot provides a daily log of TSA changes, a history of TSA updates, IACMS exports, and an Agent locator (zone guide) to help streamline the entire TSA compliance process.

Veroot is classified as a “data management company” by the TSA and does not fall under their regulation. Veroot is a debt-free software company located in Cleveland, OH with a concise vision to change the air freight industry by providing simple solutions to reduce overhead.

Veroot Inc. has launched the first air-freight social network of its kind – linking IAC’s (Indirect Air Carriers) and Cartage Agents together through secure relationship based profiles which effectively share TSA Compliance information, Insurance certificates, and dynamic Airport, Zone, and Tarriff information.

Much like an industry specific Facebook, Veroot allows cartage agents to create a station profile and upload their service zones, and Google map location, completely free of charge. IAC’s use Veroot Inc. to lookup a particular end destination and inspect the local agents and their rates.

Veroot Inc’s unique subscription service, provides neutral, third party authentication of TSA STAs, and Accord insurance certificates. This service automates the repetitive task of manually calling or emailing the cartage agent for mandated TSA security information. Instead the IAC establishes a secure “friend” relationship with an agents profile that is automatically updated every 30 days. Veroot’s back office support team works with agents to upload and validate their certificates – increasing efficiency for both the IAC and the cartage agent. The IAC can export the STA certificate information into the IACMS (Indirect Air Carrier Management System) format – making it easy for the IAC security officer to upload.

Veroot’s goal is to help both the IAC and agent benefit from efficient automation coupled with a backoffice team dedicated to validating TSA and insurance information, all while simplifying the process of finding an agent in a particular service area.
